In 2024, I’ve set an ambitious goal to read 52 books. For me, “reading” encompasses traditional books, eBooks on my Kindle, and audiobooks. I usually prefer reading non-fiction, as I find I retain more of the “boring stuff” when I see the words on the page. On the other hand, I love experiencing fiction through audiobooks—the performances bring the stories to life in a way that print can’t always match.
Take Daisy Jones & The Six, for example—my favorite fiction book. I doubt it would have moved me as deeply if I’d read it in paperback rather than listened to the incredible cast of narrators.
My 2024 reading list spans a variety of genres, including mountain and outdoor adventures, inspirational works, history, mysteries, and thrillers.
