Ain’t no falls due to the drought. Lol.

A little tough to refind the trail after those, so pay attention if you choose this way. Conditions were good but lots of downed leaves obscuring roots & rocks.

Allegany State Park (Mt Tuscarora)10/22/2026Dry99 percent of the time we enjoy Mike’s suggested route, but we like to change it up on this one and fo an out and back from Coon Run Road. That trail has lots of blowdown which makes for challenging route finding when you have to walk around. Beautiful and secluded route!

Dont drive 1 1/2 hours there if its been raining a lot as trail will likely be very muddy. Absolutely beautiful with the fallen leaves on trail. The lake was stunning with all the fall foliage surrounding it.

The only reason it was kind of slippery with a bit of mud was because it rained this morning. The Conklin Gully portion definitely made this extra challenging & I think I did the loop backwards (went clockwise). Did the overall hike counterclockwise. FLT portions were a little confusing but the rest was very straightforward & pretty decent conditions.
