Seward Range Adirondack Trip 3

This Adirondack High Peaks adventure is crafted for intermediate to advanced hikers with excellent fitness levels, ready to take on a true backcountry challenge.

Over four days and three nights, we’ll embark on a backpacking journey to conquer the rugged peaks of the Seward Range: Seymour, Seward, Donaldson, and Emmons. The trip covers 25+ miles with approximately 6,000 feet of elevation gain.

While guided, this experience is cooperative in nature. Participants will share responsibilities, including carrying group gear, cooking, and handling camp chores, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork.

• Bear canisters
• Group camp gear (stoves, water purification, and first aid)

What’s not included:

• Individual camping gear (backpacking-sized tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads)*
• All meals and snacks
• Transportation to trailhead
• Gratuity for your guides

Itinerary

Thursday 9/11: Travel to Corey’s Rd Trailhead, hike 1.5 miles to Calkins Brook campsite
Friday 9/12 : Climb Seymour (11.6 miles, 2,575′ ascent)
Saturday 9/13: Climb Donaldson, Emmons, & Seward (11 miles, 3,000′ ascent)
Sunday 9/14: Hike 1.5 miles to trailhead, travel home

Costs

$299 per person includes guide services with a NYS Licensed Guide.
We will hold a pre-trip Zoom session to go over logistics.
Travel and food are the responsibility of the participants.
Registration deadline is Aug 1, 2025.

Trip Notes

This trip demands a high level of physical fitness in order to complete it within the available daylight hours. Outside Chronicles reserves the right to deny participation if group safety will be compromised through an individual’s participation.  Outside Chronicles reserves the right to adjust the trip itinerary to match the skills, abilities, and goals of the group.

Prior hiking experience is required. Participants will be screened to make sure they meet a minimum fitness level to make the trip successful and enjoyable.

Hikers can choose to do one or both mountain hikes.

Good physical condition, proper clothing, proper footwear, and proper equipment are a must.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund minus the 3% payment processing fee will be given for a cancellation requests prior to the registration deadline (8/1/2025). Payments are NOT refundable past the registration deadline.
