SUMMARY:Intermediate Adirondack High Peaks Trip (Sept 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The leaves turn early in the Adirondacks. They should be colorful for this trip. We will tackle 4 high peaks. Each day we have a steady climb right from the trailhead. We are going to hike Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge and follow it up with Whiteface and Esther. \nWhat’s included:\n\nAccommodations at an upscale VRBO\nDinner Friday and Saturday after hiking\nLicensed\, insured NYS Guides\n\nWhat’s not included:\n\nDinner Thursday\nAll breakfasts\, lunches\, and trail snacks\nTransportation to Lake Placid\nGratuity for your guides\n\nAccommodations\nVRBO Property near Wilmington\, NY. Hikers will be assigned a queen or twin bed based on the group. Some rooms have multiple beds. The property has 5 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms\, a washer & dryer\, full kitchen\, grill\, patio\, & hot tub. \nItinerary\nThursday 9/24: Travel to Lake Placid\, check-in\, evening “briefing” and optional hike.\nFriday 9/25 : Climb Giant Mountain and Rocky Peak Ridge (7.8 miles\, 4400′ elevation)\nSaturday 9/26: Climb Whiteface and Esther Mountains  (9.8 miles\, 3700′ elevation)\nSunday 9/27: Check-out\, travel home \nCosts\n$719 per person includes bed at VRBO Property\, dinner Friday and Saturday\, and guide services with NYS Licensed Guides.\nWe will hold a pre-trip Zoom session to go over logistics.\nTravel and food (breakfasts\, lunches\, and trail snacks) are the responsibility of the participants.\nRegistration deadline is August 1\, 2026. \nTrip Notes\nThis trip demands a high level of physical fitness in order to complete it within the available daylight hours. Outside Chronicles reserves the right to deny participation if group safety will be compromised through an individual’s participation.  Outside Chronicles reserves the right to adjust the trip itinerary to match the skills\, abilities\, and goals of the group. \nPrior hiking experience is required. Participants will be screened to make sure they meet a minimum fitness level to make the trip successful and enjoyable. \nHikers can choose to do one or both mountain hikes. \nGood physical condition\, proper clothing\, proper footwear\, and proper equipment are a must. \nCancellation Policy:\nA full refund minus the 3% payment processing fee will be given for a cancellation requests prior to the registration deadline (8/1/2026).
