SUMMARY:October Adirondack High Peaks Trip
DESCRIPTION:This Adirondack High Peaks adventure is tailored for intermediate to advanced hikers with strong hiking fitness. Over two days\, we will explore peaks from the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (also known as St. Huberts or the Ausable Club)*. \n\nDay 1: We’ll hike Colvin and Blake\, covering 14.1 miles round trip with an elevation gain of approximately 4\,081 feet.\nDay 2: We’ll tackle Lower Wolfjaw\, a 9.1-mile round trip with an elevation gain of about 3\,064 feet. (alternate is Giant/Rocky Peak Ridge)\n\nPrepare for an unforgettable journey through some of the Adirondacks’ most stunning landscapes! \n* Mountains may change based on the group preferences and availability of reserved parking at the AMR lot. \nWhat’s included:\n\nAccommodations at an upscale VRBO\nDinner Friday and Saturday after hiking\nLicensed\, insured NYS Guide\n\nWhat’s not included:\n\nDinner Thursday\nAll breakfasts\, lunches\, and trail snacks\nTransportation to Lake Placid\nGratuity for your guides\n\nAccommodations\nVRBO Property near Lake Placid\, NY. Hikers will be assigned a king bed\, queen bed\, twin bed\, or bunk bed based on the group. Some rooms have multiple beds.  The property has 4 bedrooms & 3.5 bathrooms\, a washer & dryer\, full kitchen\, grill\, patio\, & hot tub. \nLake Placid limits vehicles to 4 per property\, car pooling will be necessary. \nItinerary\nThursday 10/2: Travel to Lake Placid\, check-in\, evening “briefing”\nFriday 10/3 : Climb Colvin & Blake\nSaturday 10/4: Climb Lower Wolfjaw\nSunday 10/5: Check-out\, travel home \nCosts\n$699 per person ($719 if paying by credit card) includes a bed at VRBO and guide services with a NYS Licensed Guide.\nWe will hold a pre-trip Zoom session to go over logistics.\nTravel and food are the responsibility of the participants.\nRegistration deadline is Sept 1\, 2025. \nChecks payable to:\nOutside Chronicles\n3997 Tudor Place\nHamburg\, NY 14075 \nTrip Notes\nThis trip demands a high level of physical fitness in order to complete it within the available daylight hours.
