Spend the day with an experienced NYS Guide and 46er going over High Peaks preparation\, fitness\, ADK map and route finding\, and how to combine peaks to make the most of your trip from WNY. This class will go over all 46 High Peaks in detail. \nCourse topics will include \n\nHistory of 46 High Peaks\nRules and regulations in the High Peaks\nLeave No Trace Principles in the High Peaks and alpine zones\nBackcountry safety\nProper gear for hiking in the backcountry\nFitness for the High Peaks and “warm-up” hikes\nTrip planning\, parking and route selection\nCombining peaks for efficiency\nThe 46ers – detailed review of each mountain and range\nHow to become a 46er\n\n*** Each participant will receive the latest revision of the ADK High Peaks Adirondack Trail Map (2021\, 15th edition\, $12 value) \nCancellation Policy:\nA full refund minus the 3% payment processing fee will be given for a cancellation request more than 7 days prior to the scheduled event.
