Beginner Adirondack High Peaks Trip (June 2023)
June 22, 2023
This Adirondack High Peaks trip is designed for novice High Peak hikers with excellent hiking fitness. These mountains are often hikers’ first High Peaks. No High Peak is easy, but these two hikes are shorter distances and less elevation gain than the average High Peak climb. We will hike Cascade and Porter Mountains (5.6 miles round-trip with approximately 2,300’ of elevation gain) Day 1 and Big Slide Mountains (8 miles round-trip with approximately 3,100’ of elevation gain) on Day 2.
